The Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Friends of Zion Heritage Center is General Yossi Peled. When he was a baby, Yossi’s mother entrusted him to a Christian family and asked them to raise him without telling anyone he was Jewish. After the war, she was the only surviving member of their family and returned to claim him. Yossi and his mother moved to Israel, where he grew up to be a skilled and courageous defender of the Jewish state. His own life story perfectly summarizes the message of this museum.
